Nothing will warm you up from frozen farm chores faster than a good ole fashioned hot toddy! A boozy afternoon drink is not only a perk of adulting, but it’s sometimes necessary for morale!
This easy Maple Bourbon Hot Toddy will give you the motivation you need to get through any winter weather advisory!
Britt’s Maple Bourbon Hot Toddy
Ingredients:
6-8 oz boiling water
1 English Black Tea bag for steeping
1 oz Bourbon
1T maple syrup
1 slice of orange or lemon citrus fruit
Directions:
1. Boil water in a small pot on the stove or use a tea kettle.
2. While waiting for the water to boil, prepare mug or glass by combing the bourbon and maple syrup.
3. Once the water is boiling pour 6-8 oz into your glass. Insert tea bag and steep for five minutes.
4. Serve with slice of orange or lemon citrus.
We haven’t ventured into the hot toddy world but we have been enjoying some tea action lately. I never knew how calming and peaceful drinking tea was. It just completely centers us. We are diggin’ it!
