Henry’s Got Me Sold…

Typically when my husband walks in and says, “honey I bought us a new a gun”, I follow up with an exaggerated eye roll. That typically means he bought a gun that I’ll hardly have any use for and he’ll be the only one that puts it to work. If your married to an outdoorsmen I’m sure this has happened to you a time or two as well.

Deja vu a few weeks ago when he walked in and said those familiar words, “honey I bought us a new gun”…que eye roll!

He made me close my eyes and wait for it as if he was revealing a prize for me. Something I’d be excited about.

I expected to open my eyes and see some kind of hand gun that I wouldn’t be able to grip or even a cannon for that matter…

However, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my eyes to find a pretty little rifle.

The Henry Lever Carbine .22 Rifle was shining back at me from its little box. I was indeed speechless.

Finally, a gun that I could put to use around here on the farm. Perfect for predator control (an important part of keeping livestock safe), short and light; very fitting for a little woman such as myself. Complete with a large loop lever that makes you feel like a real cowgirl!

He also sold me with a little background on Henry Repeating Rifles…

I appreciate that they are a family owned business and each gun comes with a lifetime warranty. Even more so I love their motto, “Made in America, or not made at all”. You can’t get much more patriotic than that!

This little rifle will serve us well and it’s a gun we’d be proud to pass down to our boys one day when they’re old enough.

For the first time in the history of our seven year marriage, I had to eat crow and take back my eye roll….Henry’s got me sold!
